Risk Assessment & Method Statement (RAMS)

5 HOUR COURSE

Introduction

Risk Assessment & Method Statement (RAMS) are the back-bone of health and safety on construction sites, often they are poorly written. This can leave people at risk from injury or ill health, and the company and individuals exposed to prosecution.

This course gives you the knowledge and confidence to recognise what a good risk assessment and method statement should look like to ensure safe and effective working practices. RAMS are particularly crucial in sectors where health, safety, environmental, or operational risks must be managed carefully.

All roads lead back to the Risk Assessment.

What our wonderful Students say …

A great way to spend a few hours with likeminded professionals on a topic that is critical and often overlooked.
A well-balanced course of information and activities to get involved in. Thanks Andy
— Duaine Taylor, H&S Training Manager
I’d recommend anybody involved in H&S to take time and do this course as it is a valuable refresher, especially if the only RAMS experience you have is from IOSH or NEBOSH.
It’s good to get another take on things.
— Chris Bowman, SHEQ Coordinator
The RAMS training was clear, practical and engaging. It broke complex requirements into easy-to-understand steps, with plenty of everyday examples. The other candidates made it feel like a real-time RAMS review with the amount of engagement opportunities.
I now feel more confident in developing a better standard of RAMS and also reviewing RAMS. A very worthwhile course that will have a real impact on how I approach tasks on site.
— Neill Crawshaw DipNEBOSH

RAMS Virtual Course 17th September 2025

This course was definitely one of the best I have been on in a long-time regarding RAMS.
It opened my eyes to pieces of information that I have forgotten like the CPP that should be integrated into the RAMS.
I would highly recommend anyone who is looking to refresh themselves regarding RAMS to watch out for new dates from PCR Global.
— Anthony Dimbylow, HSEQ Manager
Andy is a wealth of knowledge. It’s great to see the effort he puts into his sessions.
— Matt Peate CMIOSH
We’ve all seen the polished RAMS that look great until they hit the site gate. The leadership frameworks that crumble under pressure. A fit-for-purpose system isn’t built in isolation.
Credit to Andy and the team for putting on this for free, they deserve more than a nod. It’s a proper contribution to the industry, and exactly the kind of leadership we need more of.
— Joe Henderson, MD Hendersons H&S
Engaging, entertaining and memorable.
— Jordan Williams, Andrew Scott LTD
Great course & content. Good to see a course specific to this element, rather that a ‘bolt-on’ to other courses such as IOSH & NEBOSH
— Nathan
