Risk Management - A Personal Viewpoint
Author: Andrew Protheroe
We all have our reasons for being in the jobs that we are in. We are all at our individual stages of our careers. We are all presented with opportunities to learn from our experiences.
Many of us know how lucky we are to be here. Some live with daily reminders.
I was recently provided an opportunity to write an article in the 'Knowledge' section of the IIRSM Magazine, The Sentinel.
I used the privilege to pen my thoughts surrounding some personal standout areas of risk management:
1 - The convergence of physical security & occupational safety and health - risks as well as benefits
2 - The 'planning mindset & risk assessment methodology' - ignore this & we sow the seeds of our own crises
3 - My Seven Knows for risk management competency - what I feel the best risk leaders have in common
If you are new to risk management there may be some bits you find useful.
Thank you for reading if you do, Andy
