SCAFFOLD SAFETY AWARENESS
Introduction
1 DAY
This course has been developed alongside PCR Global’s working at height course with a specific aim to safeguard those working on or near scaffolding by providing more in depth, specific knowledge of the risks associated.
In addition to working at height, the course covers types of scaffold, their common uses and limitations, as well as inspection and record keeping requirements.
It is ideal for those new to working on or around scaffolding as an introduction, and will serve as a reminder to more experienced personnel of the risks and requirements associated with scaffolding.
Certification for this course is valid for 3 years.

Risk factors and the main causes of falls from height
Types of scaffold, associated uses and limitations
Inspection requirements
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including safe use of harnesses

To confirm understanding, students will by assessed through their contribution toward group discussion in addition to an open-book multiple choice examination
