Leading the way in Ghana ...
PCR Global Deliver Ghana's First IOSH Leading Safely Course
Author: Andrew Protheroe
Mining is a seriously hazardous industry - something we know too well here in Wales, UK.
With this in focus, PCR Global Limited was honoured to play a part in MAXAM’s leadership training week in Accra, Ghana.
As a trainer, you can sense when people have or have not bought into the subject matter.
The involvement, interaction and input from the MAXAM delegates could only be thought of as ‘leadership in action’.
Each shared their experiences of safety done well, and safety not done so well - all of which enabled the development of targeted personal commitments to further improve health and safety performance across the organisation.
The IOSH Leading Safely course provides senior management with the time needed to focus on the strategic importance of safety and health, but also what it means to them as individuals.
Each time I have delivered this course to a group, I have left feeling like myths have been quashed, focus has been achieved, objectives set, and crucially, a number of elephants have left the room.
Thank you all for your input, and a personal thank you to Ransford Gyambrah and Godfred Osei Mensah for making it happen.
