FIRE SAFETY

Introduction

PCR Global’s half day Fire Safety Qualification is designed for those in organisations who hold specific duties with regards to the management of fire risk, including fire wardens. The training can also be used to provide fundamental knowledge of fire safety for responsible persons within an organisation, or to supply an awareness of fire safety to employees.

 
Most fires are preventable. Those responsible for workplaces and other buildings to which the public have access can avoid them by taking responsibility for and adopting the right behaviours and procedures.

This course seeks to support the above statement by ensuring that employees are equipped with the knowledge to adopt those behaviours. It covers an array of topics, aligned with best practice and is delivered by experienced tutors with expertise in this field.


Certification for this course is valid for 3 years.

  • Hazards and risks associated with fire in the workplace

  • How fire risk is controlled in the workplace

  • The principles and practice of fire safety management at work

  • The role of the nominated fire warden


Assessment

To confirm understanding, students will by assessed through their contribution toward group discussion, in addition to an open-book multiple choice examination.
