DEVELOPING YOURSELF AS A TEAM LEADER

Introduction

Developing yourself as a Team Leader is a CITB Assured (Tier 2, grant reclaimable) course aimed to enable Construction Team Leaders (Supervisors, Mangers etc.) to develop knowledge and understanding of their role and responsibilities as a team leader, and be able to improve personal performance.


Learning Objectives

  • Module objectives:

    • Understanding the role of the team leader

    • Understanding the responsibilities of the team leader within the team

    • Understanding the limits of the team leader’s authority and accountability

    • Escalation — Understanding situations where there’s a need to refer to a senior authority

  • Module objectives:

    • Gathering feedback on own performance from different sources

    • Interpreting that feedback and identifying areas for improvement

    • Preparing an action plan to address weaknesses and improve performance


Course Structure

1 DAY (Delivered in the Classroom or Remotely (Virtual Classroom — Zoom)

Assessment

  • Short Assessment Paper (4 questions)

  • Continuous Assessment (participation in professional group discussions and exercises)


Certification

(CITB Assured) PCR Global Certified Course

No mandatory renewal limitations. We recommend refresher training is complete every 3-5 years.
