Introduction
Allan has over 20 years’ experience within the training industry.
Allan’s early career saw him working within technical training with the RAF, RSAF, and the REME and MOD, before moving into the leadership and development area within the MOD.
At the MOD, Allan delivered leadership training at the U.K. Defence Academy, where he managed the design and delivery of several learning programs from new managers up to senior leaders. In this role he delivered to both military and civilian staff. As an evangelist of modern learning techniques, Allan spent several years as Head of the Technology Enhanced Learning Enablement team at the Academy. Here, the team provided and produced technological support within the academy, including E-learning, animation, intros, plus video and voice overs.
His work then took him to the Middle East. Allan worked with Airbus GPT to deliver 48 eLearning modules to the Saudi Arabian National Guard. This involved working with senior managers of the National Guard and the British Army, and also 120 developers in the U.K.
Allan then spent a further 3 years in Saudi Arabia as Learning and Development Manager with BAE Systems. This again required designing and delivering various learning interventions to all levels of management within the organisation. Areas covered included change management, succession planning and talent management along with general HR and leadership training and development.
Allan also managed the BAE Systems CIPD centre, delivering level 3 qualifications to internal staff, and until recently continued to deliver CIPD courses in the Middle East, delivering level 3, 5 and 7 to various organisations
